Answer: Sclerosing adenosis involving a nerve
Histology: By light microscopy, sclerosing adenosis is typically characterized by a lobulocentric growth pattern, deformed glandular elements, and the maintenance (focally) of a two-cell population
Discussion: Extension of the benign glands into perineural spaces has been reported to occur in approximately 2% of cases with sclerosing adenosis. These lesions should not be mistaken for evidence of an invasive cancer.
