Answer: Papillary carcinoma
Histology: This neoplasm has both a follicular and a papillary pattern of growth. The neoplastic cells have optically clear nuclei, occasional nuclear grooves and the nuclei are often overlapping.
Discussion: This is a classical papillary carcinoma of the thyroid. In addition of focal papillary architecture, it has most of the nuclear features one expects to see in a papillary carcinoma, including optically clear nuclei, overlapping nuclei, nuclear grooves and nuclear pseudo-inclusions.
