Answer: Nodular/cystic hydradenoma
Histology:
Discussion: The tumor forms an intramural nodule within a large cystic space with adjacent breast tissue; there is also adjacent axillary tissue (apocrine sweat glands) indicating a location of the lesion within/close to the axilla. The lesion (nodule) has hyalinized fibrovascular cores with benign clear and eosinophilic cells, some with squamoid features. The morphology is consistent with a nodular/cystic hydradenoma with predominance of clear cells. Intraductal papilloma is usually located in the retro-areolar area and displays 2 cell layers epithelial and myoepithelial cells. Papillary carcinoma displays cytologic atypia.
