Answer: Diffuse hyperplasia
Histology:
Discussion: Given the clinical history and the morphology, the process is diagnosed as diffuse hyperplasia (possibly due to Grave’s disease). In the hyperplastic areas there is papillary formation and some nuclear clearing, however the nuclear features characteristic of papillary thyroid carcinoma are absent.
