Answer: Florid papillomatosis of the nipple (nipple adenoma)
Histology: none provided
Discussion: Nipple adenoma is a breast lesion that can occur at any age and usually presents as nipple discharge, erosions, pain or itching. The lesion can have multiple patterns: papillary, adenomatous, sclerosing or mixed. It can also be cellular with mitotic activity. It is associated with carcinoma in 18% of the cases; carcinomas are most frequently concurrent and located at a distance from the lesion. It can also occur adjacent to the nipple adenoma, especially in male patients. The risk for future carcinoma in a patient with this diagnosis however is unclear.
