Answer: Adenoid cystic carcinoma
Histology: none provided
Discussion: Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) can rarely occur in the breast. Unlike its extra-mammary counterpart, ACC in the breast has a good prognosis. Lymph node metastases and distant metastases are rare; metastases mostly occur in the lung. 90% of ACC in the breast are hormone receptor negative and negative for Her-2. The tumor is positive for p63 and negative for actin or smooth muscle myosin. It is also positive for C-Kit.
