Answer: Basal cell carcinoma with separate in situ squamous cell carcinoma and actinic keratosis
Histology: Sections of this wide excision show marked solar damage including proliferative actinic keratosis with focal areas of marked dysplasia/in situ carcinoma. The infiltrating tumor in the center of the excision is a superficial basal cell carcinoma. The presence of clefting and apoptotic cells are more consistent with basal cell carcinoma rather than trichoepithelioma. No invasive squamous cell carcinoma is identified.
Discussion: none provided
