Answer: Nevus sebaceous with small papillary eccrine proliferation
Histology: Nevus sebaceous is a type of epithelial nevus. Typical features are large sebaceous glands with defective hair follicles with direct opening to the surface, heterotopic apocrine glands in deep layers of the dermis/subcutis. The surface epithelium shows papillomatous hyperplasia with variable a mount of keratosis. They usually present on the scalp or face and often are present at birth and gradually increase in size. The papillary epithelial proliferation seen in the dilated sweat gland duct represents a benign process and is compatible with a papillary eccrine adenoma, papillary metaplasia or hamartoma.
