Answer: Acellular keratin granuloma
Histology: One of the lymph nodes contains acellular keratinous debris with an associated foreign-body type giant cell reaction. No viable tumor cells are seen.
Discussion: This acellular keratinous debris represents treated tumor. The important message to communicate to the clinicians is that while the keratin indicates that there once was tumor in this node, it is no longer viable.
